On behalf of the Mott/Regent school district I want to wish all a warm welcome as we begin the 2009-10 school year. Our high school enrollment is up which is encouraging considering the trends regarding school enrollment across our state.
Mott/Regent school is an NCA (North Central Association) accredited school. Our Quality Assurance Review visitation last spring proved successful and invaluable. Our school received good reviews as a whole but also left us with some items to work on. I want to personally thank all those students, parents and community members who took part in surveys and interviews by the visitation team. Your input is always valuable to us. As a result, our staff has set goals to address such areas.
As a school this year, we would like to continue to work on goals in vocabulary and mathematics. We also hope to utilize technology more effectively in our teaching practices. Our staff will also be reviewing curriculum areas to ensure that our teaching is aligned to state/national curriculum standards. These goals are student centered as we hope to positively affect the achievement of our students by the goals we have outlined.
The mission of Mott/Regent school is to promote learning for all in a positive, caring atmosphere. Let's all help our kids to have a good year. Go Wildfire!
